Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the Waste and Environmental Management industry, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your problem-solving and communication skills. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to customers while addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and promoting goodwill.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve customer disputes effectively.
• Communicate customer needs and opportunities to team members and managers, while promoting additional services.
• Conduct customer interviews, input information into computer systems, and manage account updates.
• Prepare contracts, calculate service charges, collect deposits, and handle address changes or service discontinuations.
• Process payments, make bank deposits, and manage production paperwork alongside general office duties.
• Address and resolve complaints related to billing or service issues, escalating service failures to appropriate teams.
• Deliver customer solutions that are cost-effective, safe, and environmentally responsible.
• Maintain high-quality customer interactions to foster positive relationships and goodwill.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, schedule appointments, and manage order entries efficiently.• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a high call volume environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication, along with strong typing and data entry skills.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers.
• Prior experience in the solid waste industry or a related field is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is highly desirable.
