Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine

Join a thriving healthcare facility in Athens, Ohio, as we seek an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide vital care to our community. With an annual volume of 25,000 visits and a spacious 21-bed unit, you will work with a dedicated team, utilizing the EPIC EMR system. This position involves providing coverage starting in June, with a preference for candidates who can commit to 5+ shifts per month, including nights and weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage admission and transfer rates within guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining departmental standards and protocols.
• Participate in continuous education and training.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
• At least 2 years of recent emergency medicine experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Clean professional background with no exceptions.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Ohio state license (IMLC accepted with proof of LOQ).
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS certifications are required.
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
• Malpractice coverage must be included in hourly rate.
