Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality dental hygiene services under the supervision of a Navy Dental Officer. You’ll support the oral health readiness of Sailors and Marines while building clinical excellence in a mission-driven environment. Duties include:

• Infection control and chairside support
• Dental radiography (exposure and processing)
• Hygiene assessments and treatment planning
• Patient education in prevention, nutrition, and behavior modification
• Periodontal scaling and root planing
• Application of fluoride, sealants, and therapeutic agents
• Cleaning of dental appliances and restorations
• Assisting with pain management and other patient care services

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have completed an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene (Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science) or be in the final year of a dental hygiene program.
• The program must be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
• Must hold a valid state license as an RDH
• U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
• Between the ages of 17 and 41
