Compensation:

• Starting Base Pay:
  • ASN: $29.00/hr
  • BSN: $31.00/hr
  • MSN: $33.00/hr
• Additional Compensation:
  • Percentage increases based on years of experience and nursing specialty
  • Relocation bonuses available

Job Summary:

The RN - Med/Tele Float will provide high-quality, compassionate care to 5–6 patients per shift requiring inpatient hospitalization for medical or surgical conditions. This role involves floating across multiple Med Surg/Tele units and occasionally to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Monitor and interpret EKGs and telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments using Pyxis and Alariz IV pumps
• Document care using Meditech charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float between Med Surg/Tele units on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and PCU when required

• 2nd Floor Units:
  • 2E: 20 beds
  • 2S: 14 beds
  • 2C: 23 beds
  • 2N: 17 beds
• 3rd Floor Units:
  • CDU: 20 beds
  • 3N: 20 beds
  • 3S: 23 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5–6:1
• Support Staff: LNA/UC available on shift

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Skills: EKG competency required
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Arizona or compact state

Schedule Requirements:

• Night shift position
• Must be available to work every other weekend or one weekend shift per week (Saturday or Sunday)
• Will not work alone; typically paired with another RN and support staff

Orientation & Training:

• 2–3 shifts of unit-specific orientation
• Mandatory 8-hour hospital orientation (held on Mondays)

Dress Code:

• Navy blue scrubs
