Job Duration: Full school year | Contract | 10 hours per week max
A rewarding opportunity awaits for a skilled School Psychologist to provide virtual services in a K-12 setting for the 2023 school year. This role involves supporting students with varying degrees of autism and behavioral challenges, fostering an environment conducive to their academic and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify students' needs and interventions.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing valuable insights about student behavior and emotional health.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including four in-house BCBAs, to develop and implement effective strategies for student support.
- Maintain a manageable caseload of six students, ensuring that each receives the attention and resources necessary for success.
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in school psychology and special education.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in school psychology or related field.
- Valid Mississippi school psychology license or equivalent credentialing.
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, particularly in self-contained classrooms.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage a virtual caseload while providing consistent and effective support.
