Diamond Technology is a Technical Services company. We have a client who is a large local public organization with an opening for the following position:
JOB TITLE: Technical Project Coordinator for Phone & AV Systems (Temp Contract)
NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 1
DESIRED START DATE: Late June this year
LOCATION: San Francisco: HYBRID (mostly ON-SITE + local travel required to multiple Bay Area work locations)
DURATION: 2+ years, 40 hours a week
HOURLY RATE: $85-$95/hr
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with PHONE SYSTEMS and AUDIO-VISUAL SYSTEMS
- 6 years of verifiable experience as a Technical Project Coordinator, Lead, or Manager for phone or telephony projects
- Experience managing large-scale phone or telephony projects (3,000+ users, 100+ rooms, 20+ sites), preferably for public utilities or government agencies
- Residence in San Francisco Bay Area; some remote work allowed but mostly ON-SITE + local travel
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project coordination, including planning, scheduling, tracking deadlines, managing project phases, and overseeing quality, scope, and change management.
- Serving as the main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert for Phone System and A/V migration projects.
- Overseeing project-related functions, coordinating site visits, and gathering requirements.
- Documenting business process requirements and preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
- Stakeholder engagement and vendor management, including communication strategies.
- Monitoring project status, reporting constraints, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Maintaining system documentation and developing end-user communication plans.
- Using Microsoft Office applications and project management tools proficiently.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The client plans to undertake two major projects over the next 2-3 years:
- Migrating from aging Avaya phone systems to modern telephony solutions.
- Modernizing Audio-Visual systems across all sites.
The hired Project Coordinator will support these projects on a time-and-materials basis, working during normal business hours, with potential partial remote work at the client's discretion.
