Locums Neurosurgery Opportunity - Youngstown, OhioLevel 1 Trauma Center High-Acuity Cases Paid Travel

Step into a vital neurosurgery role at a top-tier trauma center in Youngstown, Ohio. This short-term locums assignment offers critical casework, hands-on trauma exposure, and seamless support throughout.

Position Details:

• Dates Needed: 7AM August 27 - 7AM September 3 (Must be available for the full duration)

• Setting: Hospital-based, Level 1 Trauma Center

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 8am-12pm with emergent cases as needed

• Surgical Volume: 1-2 emergent neurosurgical cases/day

• EMR: EPIC

Case Mix Includes:

• Brain bleed management

• Clot and tumor removal

• Shunt insertion/revision

• Trauma repairs

• Spine stabilization & reconstruction

• Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty

• Spinal fusion, laminectomy, diskectomy

• Neuro IR support available

Team Structure:

• 1 employed neurosurgeon and 1 non-employed partner

• Adult and geriatric patient focus; all emergent cases come through the ED

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery

• Active OH medical license

• BLS and ACLS certifications

• Must be available from 7AM August 27 to 7AM September 3 - no exceptions
