General Job Summary
The Pricing Manager will be responsible for managing our retail product pricing structure, with the goal of maximizing profitability across product categories and geographical regions, through coordination with our store teams, merchandising department, and other stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pricing
•Oversee the company’s pricing strategy, with focus on the organization’s gross margin objectives.
•Manage and use existing pricing management software to assign price levels across stores and products.
•Plan, coordinate, and execute the store price relabeling process in a timely and accurate manner.
•Partner with teams from Merchandising, Inventory, Finance, IT, and Store Operations to facilitate pricing strategy and execution, including seasonal product line reviews, competitive research, and understanding product trends.
•Track the effectiveness of pricing strategies and recommend changes to business and category pricing rules.
•Manage transition and analysis of product pricing for new or acquired stores.
•Manage clearance pricing and markdown activity for discontinued products.
•Manage gross margin analysis and other management reporting functions.
•Provide support to the Inventory and Merchandising teams on an as-need basis.
•Other reporting and finance-related projects as needed.
Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
•3+ years of relevant work experience.
•Intermediate Excel expertise, including prior usage of formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc.
•Superb organizational skills.
•Ability to meet regular deadlines and prioritize efficiently, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.
•Broad understanding of key performance indicators and elements that drive retail profitability.
•Retail or wholesale industry experience is a plus.
•Experience with maintaining and coordinating product pricing is a plus.
•Data querying and analyzing capabilities using reporting tools or databases is a plus.
Compensation Details
$70000 - $80000 per year
