Medical Assistant / Medical receptionist

Someone that works well with many different people. This is a hybrid position with potential for growth. Star-Care Family Wellness is a primary care and medical aesthetics clinic. We do offer employee discounts. We request someone with 2+ years of experience, able to verify insurances, able to work efficiently, answer phones professionally. This position will offer training especially for a certified medical assistant. We do request that any knowledge in blood draws and provide injections and able to manage patients is a plus. It is a plus if able to speak another language in addition to English such as Spanish or Arabic. Must be available to work on some Saturdays. Someone that can multitask and loves to work in a high pace environment and be a hostess/ host to clientele.

Responsibilities entail:

• Provide comprehensive medical administrative support, including patient intake and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Assist in patient care by taking vital signs and ensuring comfort during visits.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings, including urgent care and outpatient clinics.
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively with patients and staff, including those who speak Spanish, Arabic, or Polish.
• Support dermatology and emergency medicine procedures as needed.
• Be able to do administrative tasks such as prior authorizations and fax intake management.
• As a medical assistant, drawing blood and giving injections as well as the administrative portion is necessary.
• Being on time and having a good work ethic is what is needed for this position.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
