As an APRN, you will work across inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, treatment, and patient education-particularly in the field of cardiology. The role offers a supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.Responsibilities Assess and manage patients with common illnesses and cardiology-related conditions Establish diagnoses and develop care plans in collaboration with patients and their families Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests Prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic treatments Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams Provide preventative screenings and patient education Document findings and maintain accurate medical records Make referrals and ensure continuity of care Evaluate outcomes and adjust care plans as neededQualifications Master s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (if licensed after 1999) Current CT APRN license National board certification as an APRN Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance License 5-7 years of experience in cardiology or internal medicine settingSkills & Competencies Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills Ability to manage complex patient care plans Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Leadership qualities and ability to work independently Culturally competent and sensitive to diverse populations Committed to ongoing professional developmentBenefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Pharmacy Plan Life & Disability Insurance Health Savings or Flexible Spending Account 401(k) with Employer Contribution Paid Vacation, Sick Days & Holidays CME and Education Reimbursement Pet Insurance Additional voluntary benefits available
