About the Opportunity:
A respected, independently operated hospital in Sidney, MT is currently hiring a Retail Pharmacist to support its busy outpatient pharmacy, located directly on the hospital campus. This contract offers a 13- or 26-week assignment with strong potential for extension. The role is ideal for pharmacists who bring retail or outpatient experience and are looking to contribute immediately in a patient-focused setting.

Facility Overview:
The hospital features a full range of services, including emergency care, surgery, labor & delivery, and intensive care. The attached retail pharmacy plays a vital role in community care, serving both discharged patients and local residents.

Position Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness prior to dispensing

• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions

• Maintain daily pharmacy operations and oversee technician workflows

• Ensure regulatory compliance with Montana state law and federal pharmacy guidelines

• Work collaboratively with the broader pharmacy and clinical teams to ensure safe and efficient service

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Montana Pharmacist license

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail or outpatient pharmacy setting

• Availability to work full retail hours as scheduled, including Saturdays

• Ready to begin work promptly following compliance clearance

• Virtual meeting with Pharmacy Department leadership

• A third round may be scheduled depending on applicant qualifications
