School-Based Social Worker - Wauconda, Illinois

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position spans the semester from August 18, 2025, to May 29, 2026, and focuses exclusively on providing essential support to Pre-K students. The role emphasizes collaborative practices with various building teams to enhance student well-being and academic success.

Qualifications:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher
• Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with young children
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams and implement support systems
• Knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to Pre-K students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with Student Assistance Teams, PBIS Tiered teams, and Crisis Teams to develop and implement intervention plans
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to understand student needs and track progress
• Engage with families to foster strong support networks and enhance student outes
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
