Currently looking to fill for 1st and 2nd shifts
Position Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Logistics Coordinator’s to achieve a variety of goals including: productivity, problem resolution, outstanding customer service, employee relations (motivation and development) and maintaining a safe work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control
- Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries
- Tracking the progress of shipments
- Ensure integrity of warehouse operations; to include receiving transactions, pick location maintenance, and physical inventories
- Prepare daily shipping manifest
- Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions
- Communicate closely with our courier partner companies
- Answer phone calls
- Track shipments
- Fulfill special client requests
- Supervise staff, Conduct team meetings
- Provide support to dock operations by helping to load/unload trailers, wrap pallets, and pick orders
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 + years experience in shipping/receiving mgmt for international and domestic shipments, scheduling trucks UPS/Fed Ex
- Must have forklift certification and able to train others on forklift operations
- Bachelors degree preferred - relatable experience in lieu of degree acceptable
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize work, planning skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)
- Knowledge of UPS WorldShip and FedEx manager applications
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills ensure a streamlined and efficient billing system
- Proven ability to maintain precise records
- Proficient in a number of accounting applications
- Knowledge of collection and claims procedures
- Attention to detail and organizational skills evident in the preparation of accurate weekly and monthly reports within tight deadlines
