Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Description:
- Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies before surgery.
- Assist in positioning and prepping the patient for surgery.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure all aseptic techniques are followed.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the procedure with RN.
- Handle specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Clean and restock the OR after each case.
- Ensure surgical instruments are properly decontaminated and sterilized.
Qualifications:
- Must have VA license.
- Must have Ortho experience
Additional Requirements:
- BLS
