Reports to Owner- Head of Maintenance
Hotel Maintenance Position:
Reports to Maintenance Chief
· Assist hotel staff in providing repair, replacement, and all upkeep of the hotel operational systems.
· Use all equipment necessary to keep hotel in operational order. Ownership to purchase and Chief to maintain all equipment in the hotel, storage shed, and Maintenance office.
· Understand and manage the proper use of all mechanical and technology related equipment throughout the hotel.
· Have a working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, construction related
· Communicate weekly with Owner and management the “To Do and punch lists” completed in normal course of the hotel’s activities.
· Respond to work orders by housekeeping and Front Desk or Breakfast visa via “filled out” Maintenance slips. Copies to each department and completed by Adam and given to department. Repairs weekly reported back to Owner for further discussion.
· Communicate with Management regarding use of any PTO during scheduled month.
· Train and delegate maintenance operations to any Part time staff that is hired for additional support.
· Help create a positive work environment by communicating daily with each member of the team before, during and at the completion of each day’s shift.
· Maintain the “Daily Log” of the Pool testing as required by state and as trained and certified.
· Keep Maintenance and all workspaces in the hotel clean and organized.
· Hours: Works primarily 12 to 6– Days will be set by Maintenance Chief or owner - must be available for Weekends in case of rooms or pool breakdowns.
Responsibilities:
· Work well with others in team and individual settings.
· Manage daily routine to create and maintain the best use of time and function of the hotel.
· Respond to any equipment malfunction and /or room issue to provide Maintenance/repair of any room or hotel related breakdown.
· Manage all the outside cleaning, mowing, and general upkeep of all the exterior grounds.
· Daily, weekly, monthly attention to routine equipment repair of all working motors, and hotel operational machinery.
· Understand proper safety and fire procedures and what steps to take in the event of a fire, guest, or power outage emergency.
· Take rooms out of order in computer and place rooms back in order as needed.
· Communicate cost of charges to management related guest use and damage.
· Report immediately any suspicious use of illegal substances by guests to Revenue Manager.
· Respond to reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience in person.
· Strictly adhere to rules regarding health and safety including any company-related practices.
Requirements:
Reliable: Work independently from other team members and prioritize daily work routine to accomplish best results.
· Must wear work uniform and nametag provided by company.
· High standard of excellence in all areas of guest service and cleaning quality.
· Ability to speak and understand the English language.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment and related maintenance and technical operations of hotel, refrigeration, heating/cooling, boilers, and systems operations.
