Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position spans the full academic school year and is located in the Sutherlin, Oregon area. The role offers the chance to collaborate with educators, students, and families to support communication development and enhance educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students aged kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to address speech, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Document all evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress notes according to school district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children across K-12 grade levels in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
