Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Milan, MO. This contract position spans the school year and offers a four-day workweek, supporting a caseload of approximately 60 students, with around 40% requiring speech-only services. Both certified SLPs with CCC, those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and qualified SLPAs are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities include conducting speech and language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and families. Candidates will utilize the SPED Tack IEP system to manage student progress and are required to bill Medicaid for applicable services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as an SLP with CCC or completion of CFY, or certification as an SLPA in school settings
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school environment
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes
- Competence in using IEP management systems, specifically SPED Tack
- Strong communication and organizational skills
