POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides direct security and related public services. Event Security.

You will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.

Our Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility, its staff, and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A SUPERVISOR CAPACITY.

Requirements/qualifications:

• Possess a current New York State security officer license.
• Possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed positions
• Be at least 21 years old for driving positions.
• Possess ability to effectively speak, read and write the English language and
• Possess the physical ability required by the position

Criminal, Educational and Employment Checks. For each applicant meeting the above requirements, Tarian will also check the candidate’s:

• Previous employment history dating back five (5) years.
• Motor vehicle records (if assigned to a driving post).
• Seven (7) years criminal background record where legally available and permissible, including SSN verification and sex offender registration.

All Tarian personnel assigned to Customer account will undergo a mutually agreed upon medical health assessment and drug screening, paid for by the Customer. This medical assessment includes the following:

• Influenza (seasonal) vaccine or declination
• TB skin test, TSPOT or QuantiFERON
• MMR or measles, mumps and rubella (titer and/or vaccine)
• Varicella (titer and/or 2 vaccines) and
• Hep B titer, 3 vaccines or declination.

Education and Experience:

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• 21 Years +
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian company's driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)

Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
