Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Mount Vernon, WA. This contract position involves working alongside licensed speech-language pathologists to facilitate the development and implementation of individualized speech and language therapy plans that promote student success across various grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to K-12 students with speech, language, and munication disorders
- Implement individualized treatment plans and document student progress accurately
- Support students in achieving munication goals through direct intervention and classroom collaboration
- Prepare and maintain therapy materials and reports in pliance with district and state guidelines
- municate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student needs and progress
Qualifications and Experience:
- pletion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by the state of Washington
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably with K-12 populations
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills to engage effectively with students and staff
- Ability to follow directions from supervising speech-language pathologists and work independently within the scope of practice
