Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a Physical Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Richmond, VA. This contract position spans the entire school year and offers the opportunity to work closely with students and educational staff to enhance physical mobility and promote overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prehensive physical therapy services tailored to the needs of K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress accurately and timely
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve motor skills and physical function
- Support students in achieving greater independence within the school environment
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary plans for student success
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with appropriate credentials to work in Virginia
- Experience providing therapy services to children or adolescents in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy practices and school-based interventions
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
