Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology within a K-12 educational setting. This part-time position, requiring two days a week, involves working closely with a diverse group of 15-20 students, including two nonverbal individuals who utilize AAC devices. The contract runs from August 18, 2025, to May 21, 2026, allowing for a focused and impactful engagement with students.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC).
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy (SLP - Pediatrics).
- Familiarity with school settings (SLP - School).
- Proficient in using and implementing AAC devices (SLPA - School, SLPA - Healthcare).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide targeted speech and language therapy to meet the needs of 15-20 students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed.
- Support nonverbal students in utilizing AAC devices effectively for communication.
