Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Background & Licensure
- Valid Alabama Special Education Licensure (verify via the state certification portal)
- For elementary roles: K-6 certification required
- For secondary positions: 6-12 certification needed
- Prior related classroom experience strongly preferred (any experience level considered)
- Ability to clearly indicate zip code/commute readiness, preferred caseload and age group, and previous experience with the district if applicable
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to students with varied abilities and needs
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment with lesson planning, progress tracking, and collaboration with staff and families
- Prioritize compliance with all IEP, reporting, and district requirements
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student growth
