Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation under the direction of the nurse director or RN. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, HIPAA regulations, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and the Code of Professional and Business Ethics. Accountable for, but not limited to, performance improvement activities, infection control guidelines and safety measures.

Current Missouri LPN license in good standing
Current BLS certification
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills with staff, patients, and physicians
Appropriate documentation skills to include filing, accurate charting, audits, charge reconciliation, registration, etc.
Instructional/communication skills relating to patients, family and staff education
Flexibility in scheduling
Excellent patient assessment skills for all age groups of the patient population
A team player
One (1) year experience desired

Starting Range: $20.16 - $25.20
