ID.ology Interiors & Design is looking for an experienced, energetic, and assertive Interior Designer or Entry-Level Assistant Interior Designer, with some industry experience, to enhance our wonderful team! Asheville is booming and so are we! We are growing and are looking for a strong Residential Interior Designer to grow with us.

ID.ology Interiors & Design is an award-winning, full-service interiors and furnishings design firm specializing in high-end custom residential Interior Design. As a premier multi-state Design Firm, located in Asheville, NC, ID.ology enriches the lives of our Clients and the environment through curating beautiful, healthy spaces. We need to supplement our already fantastic design team, with a skilled, seasoned, experienced Interior Designer to meet our Clients' needs. Our creative and collaborative group works passionately to exceed our Clients expectations.

As we provide design services for high end custom homes, we are seeking a candidate that has ample experience in such as well as renovations, furnishing & merchandising sales as well as the ability to project manage, and design for a variety of styles.

As Interior Designer, youll work independently as well as in a collaborative atmosphere in designing whole-home New Construction, and major custom residential renovations, and furniture merchandising/sales. Were looking for someone driven, personable, intelligent, resourceful, articulate, highly organized, and self-motivated; someone who is highly productive and thrives in a fast paced environment, is detail-oriented and can multitask, while maintaining time efficiency, accuracy and organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop whole-house design concepts and selection of FF&E
  • Manage projects from conception to move-in while efficiently coordinating with the building team, trade partners, and vendors
  • Solicit quotes, review for accuracy, obtain client approvals, document and effectively communicate to trades, vendors etc.
  • Directing assistant and associate designers
  • Create, manage, and meet project timelines and budgets
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, record and maintain accurate meeting notes; develop agendas for client meetings
  • Create conceptual Detail Drawing, elevations, furniture layouts and other pertinent drawings, in collaboration with Architectural Designer team member.
  • Run job site meetings to review framing, rough plumbing, electrical, etc... to ensure design is built according to plan
  • Coordinate designs with trades in the field.
  • Furniture and accessory merchandising and sales



Minimum Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, and possess excellent design project management and AutoCAD [or comparable] proficiency as well as new construction selections design. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in residential interior design and new construction design field is required.

  • Bachelor's (Required)
  • AutoCAD: 4 years (Preferred but not required)
  • Interior Design new construction project management: 5 years (Required)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel/Word/Powerpoint
  • Experience with Furnishing Merchandising/sales; and SketchUp a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Base salary plus sales commission and bonuses.

Compensation: Base salary of a range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year (depending on experience and credentials) plus sales commission, bonuses, etc. leading to total compensation possibilities of a possible $80,000+ per year. In addition to benefits of health insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off and paid holidays etc.
