Dental Front Desk Coordinator – Full Time (Travel Required)
Salinas & Freedom, CA
Full-Time | Multi-Specialty Practice | Pediatric & Oral Surgery
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing, multi-specialty dental team. This role is essential in delivering a seamless, welcoming, and efficient front office experience for our patients, while supporting the operations of two locations: Salinas and Freedom, CA.
Travel between both locations is required on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Reception & Customer Service
- Greet patients and families warmly as the first point of contact.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
- Scheduling & Check-In/Out
- Coordinate and manage appointment scheduling for pediatric and oral surgery departments.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up on missed appointments.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently.
- Insurance Coordination
- Contact insurance companies to verify patient benefits and eligibility.
- Collect and enter insurance information into the practice management software.
- Assist in pre-authorizations and understanding treatment coverage.
- Data Entry & Patient Records
- Input patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date digital records and ensure compliance with HIPAA.
- Treatment Coordination
- Create and present treatment plans based on provider recommendations.
- Communicate costs, procedures, and financial options to patients clearly and confidently.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of dental front office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dental insurance plans and terminology.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with practice management software Open Dental preferred.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly between the Salinas and Freedom offices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
