Associate Attorney

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our growing team in Newberg, OR.

Job Overview:

An Associate Attorney contributes to the firm by producing high quality work, ensuring deadlines are met, and facilitating case progression. Associates represent employers and insurers in the areas of workers' compensation, employment law, business disputes, insurance defense and OSHA defense, while working closely with senior Attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Preparation and handling of documents, requests & motions

· Review and identify case documents

· Manage multiple case files

· Monitoring multiple deadlines

· Legal research

· Communication with clients and other professionals

· Develop and manage growing case load and legal career

· Other tasks as requested

Qualifications:

· A license to practice law in the State of Oregon or Washington

· Ideal candidate would possess both Oregon and Washington license

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong academic credentials

· Research and organizational skills

· Analytical and critical thinking skills

· Attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and on a team

Preferred Skills/Experience:

· Dictation knowledge and skills

· Workers’ Compensation OR and/or WA

Working Environment:

• Normal office environment requiring routine operation of standard office equipment (computers, keyboard, telephone, copiers, fax and scanner).
• No exposure to significant environmental hazards.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform sedentary work that involves walking, sitting, and standing for long periods of time.
• Normal visual acuity, hearing, speaking, and the ability to understand and speak the English language.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
