We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Cookeville, Tennessee. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong attention to detail to support legal operations through administrative expertise and effective communication. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to legal staff, including organizing and managing documentation.
• Conduct research and compile information to support legal cases and projects.
• Draft, review, and edit outgoing correspondence and legal documents with precision.
• Maintain and update multiple databases to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Handle photocopying, scanning, and filing of documents in a systematic manner.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to address inquiries.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the coordination of legal workflows.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards while managing sensitive information.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to create spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed to support legal operations.• Proven experience in customer service and administrative roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other office software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience with documentation, research, and maintaining databases.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with legal teams.
• Familiarity with photocopying, scanning, and QA management processes.
