Work Hours Schedule: Monday through Friday Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM FTE Requirement: Full-Time (2080 hours/year) Minimum Coverage: 6 FTEs across all designated clinic locationsOn-Hours Coverage Physicians must be present and available for the full duration of business hours (8:00AM 4:30 PM) All patient care and documentation activities must be completed within the scheduledhoursOff-Hours Coverage No off-hours or on-call coverage is required In the event of provider absence, a qualified substitute must be provided within twohoursKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver full-spectrum primary care to adult patients, including preventive, chronic, and acute care managementOrder, review, and follow up on diagnostic tests, labs, and consultationsAccurately document encounters using the VAs CPRS systemWork collaboratively with VA staff, specialists, and allied health providersParticipate in continuous quality improvement and interdisciplinary team meetingsInpatient CareMinimal; providers may participate in care coordination but will not routinely provide inpatient careOutpatient CareApproximately 100% of duties involve outpatient care across VA medical center and CBOC locationsResponsibilities include: H&Ps, follow-up visits, medication management, wellness exams, and patient educationQualificationsProven clinical competency in adult primary careProficient in electronic health record systems (preferably CPRS)Strong communication and teamwork skillsFluent in written and spoken EnglishLicenseCurrent, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territoryNo prior disciplinary actions involving loss or restriction of medical licensureBoard CertificationBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineMaintenance of Certification (MOC) is required for Board-Certified physiciansCertificationsActive Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
