Job Description

Provides psychiatric services to patients in the Child and Adolescent Program and other specialized outpatient behavioral health programs as required. Assists in reviewing the quality, adequacy, and appropriateness of resident education within the program.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-hospital patient care and consultations as required.
• Performs attending physician duties including treatment planning.
• Supervises and teaches residents and medical students.
• Participates in teaching rounds and consultations to other services.
• Consults with resident staff and/or hospital staff physicians as needed.
• Participates in committees and attends/ conducts meetings as required.

• Participates in Medical Staff activities as required or requested.
• Observes hospital bylaws and regulations.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety, quality, and service excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine upon hire.
• Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry or the American Osteopathic Board of Psychiatry.
• Completion of Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship.
• Membership in the Medical Staff of York Hospital.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing; occasional sitting, lifting, reaching.
• Exposure to occupational hazards and bloodborne pathogens.
