? About the Unit:
Join the 15 East Acute Leukemia Unit (CC96150) at a prestigious academic facility caring for newly diagnosed leukemia patients. This is a high-acuity med-surg oncology unit with a strong emphasis on infection prevention and fall protocols. Nurses administer chemo, blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and manage central lines, ports, and telemetry.
- Bed Count: 24
- Daily Census: ~22
- Patient Ratio Goal: 1:4 (may go up to 1:5)
- Charting: Epic
- Unit Equipment: Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, GE telemetry (B450), bladder scanner
✅ Requirements:
- 2+ years of recent RN experience
- 1+ year hematology/oncology required
- ONS/ONCC Chemo certification required
- No first-time travelers
- Must hold an active Compact or Ohio RN license
- Education must be from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (1 must be a supervisor or charge RN)
? Skills Preferred:
- Oncologic emergencies (e.g., tumor lysis, sepsis)
- Blood product admin & chemo monitoring
- IV therapy, PICC/Central Line/Port care
- Telemetry interpretation
- Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma experience
? Compliance & Other Notes:
- Tier 4 compliance: Fingerprinting required ASAP upon booking
- Must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing
- RTO must be submitted with application
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- 1 pre-approved PTO request allowed
- Orientation includes 72 hours total (24 hours classroom, 36 hours on-unit)
- Float required to other med-surg oncology units

Hourly Total: $72.03
Taxable (W2): $31.00/hr
Stipends (Meals & Housing, Non-Taxable): $41.03/hr
Weekly Total (based on 36 hours): $2,593.00
Taxable: $1,116.00/week
Stipends: $1,477.00/week
OT Rate (W2): $46.50/hr
