Schools - Physical Therapist

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position provides specialized physical therapy services in an elementary school setting, supporting both direct and consultative needs for students. The role is part-time, offering 20 hours per week during the school year. The practitioner will work closely with a total of 18 students, providing direct therapy to 3 and consultative support to 15, helping to improve their functional capabilities and school participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one physical therapy services to students with varying physical needs.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide consultative support to teachers and staff to integrate physical therapy goals into classroom activities.
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation according to school and state standards.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Texas Physical Therapist License.
• Possess a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Experience working in school environments preferred.
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively and communicate with children, parents, and school personnel.
• Commitment to student-centered therapy and interdisciplinary collaboration.
