Outpatient FQHC

Credentialing: 30 days

Start: As soon as credentialed

LOA: 3-6 month contracts available

Schedule: 4 10hr days or M-F 8hr days

Patient Volume: 16 per day

Procedures: Bread & butter Optometry- conduct vision exams, diagnose impairments, prescribe glasses, contacts, medications, and therapeutic procedures. Provide pre- and postoperative care. Manage diabetics, cataracts, glaucoma, and broader pathology including potential pituitary adenoma.

EMR: Athena

License: Maine

Certifications: DEA, BLS

Additional Information: Support staff: 1-2 Optometric Techs (depending on staffing)
Clinic has two lanes, OCT, visual field, and iCare plenty of equipment. Excellent access to ophthalmology; local specialists see urgent cases (e.g., retinal detachment) within 24 hours.
