Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Safety Responsibilities

o Follow all Safety Procedures and Guidelines

o This is a ‘safety sensitive’ position

• Customer Service

o Help customers load and unload parts

o Count parts and mark with job order number and customer name

o Inspect incoming parts for any damage o Keep all customer supplied packing materials with the parts

o Stage parts to the appropriate production areas

• Purchased Materials o Receive in purchased materials. Verify count and that the correct item was shipped against the P.O.

o Label the purchased part with the PO#, the date received, and the expiration date.

o Monitor the inventory for expired materials

o Store purchased materials in proper locations.

Pick-up materials at customer locations

o Pick-up material and supplies for PIF

o Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers

o Participates in organizing delivery schedules

o Obtains customer signature and collects payment for goods delivered and delivery charges

o Assist with Warehouse duties as required

Vehicle

o Safely drive the company vehicle at all times

o Cleans, inspects, and services vehicle

o Performs daily Pre/Post Trip inspections on vehicle

o Position blocks and ties rope all around items to secure cargo for transport

o Performs daily inspections on load securing equipment such as load straps and strap

anchor points

o Performs light emergency repairs – replacing light bulbs, lens covers, and addition of fluids

o Perform other related duties incidental to the work

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

• 18 years or older
