As a Social Events Designer, you will be responsible for sourcing, selling, and planning all types of social events, such as weddings and private parties. This role involves end-to-end management of the event lifecycle—from initial inquiry and sales pitch to detailed planning and on-site execution—ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for every guest. The Social Events Specialist reports to the Director of Groups and Events.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed targets and revenue goals as agreed with Director of Groups & Events.
- Manage inquiries, conduct site inspections, and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Prepare and present customized event proposals and contracts based on client needs.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients from enquiry to execution of the event.
- Coordinate all event logistics and operational details (e.g. setups, Av needs, F&B arrangements, timeline, and other hotel services).
- Create and distribute function sheets, timelines, and event summaries
- Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure successful event execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event planning, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software; knowledge of Delphi and Opera is a plus.
- ·Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.
