Part Time Janitor - Now Hiring

• Position: Part-Time Janitor
• Location: Porterville, CA
• Position Type: Live
• Work Authorization: USC or Green Card

Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for providing high-quality janitorial services across four buildings, following a detailed cleaning schedule that includes daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual tasks. These include but are not limited to:
• Daily Tasks (Mon/Wed/Fri):
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms (sinks, toilets, walls, mirrors)
  • Restock supplies: toilet paper, hand soap, towels, seat covers
  • Dust public areas (desks excluded)
  • Empty wastebaskets
  • Clean walkways and exterior steps
  • Clean tables, sinks, and shared spaces
  • Report any broken facilities (e.g., lighting, toilets)
• Weekly Tasks:
  • Maintain polished floors (remove black marks)
  • Remove cobwebs from corners, ceilings, walls, and windows
• Monthly Tasks (1st Week of Each Month):
  • Wash windows (inside and out)
  • Dust and clean blinds
  • Deep clean and re-wax restroom floors
  • Wash all restroom walls and building exteriors
• Semi-Annual Tasks (April & October):
  • Shampoo all carpets
  • Strip and reapply wax to all floors
  • Remove and deep clean Venetian blinds

Required: 

• Reliable personal transportation to pick up supplies and travel to site
• Smartphone with camera to submit photo documentation
• Basic tech skills (Google Sheets, email, digital checklists)
• Experience with commercial cleaning preferred
• Physically capable of lifting/moving cleaning equipment and supplies
• Ability to work independently and follow a detailed task schedule
• Must provide own cleaning equipment and supplies (storage space available on-site)
• Must adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines per EM 385-1-1
