Immediately Hiring. Join Writer/Director and Texas Rancher Taylor Sheridan's newly renovated Cattlemen's Steakhouse in the historic Ft. Worth Stockyards. This is an opportunity to be part of a multi-million dollar renovation focused on hospitality excellence, authenticity and Texas tradition. Interviews are now underway for many positions in the Restaurant, Outdoor Patio and the Private Club
The basic functions of our Sommelier but are not limited to: Interacting with guests and members providing exceptional knowledge about wines, developing a world-class wine menu, training Service team members and more. Also ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. The level of service must be consistent with the established location specific standards in every respect described in the Service Handbook, and the Employee Handbook.
This position also requires the employee to provide guests with accurate information regarding the restaurant and its operations. The essential hospitality standards must be used at all times: Enthusiastically recognize guests, 10/5 eye contact, smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation and use the guest’s last name. You must also have the ability to handle high business volumes and multi-tasking all the while maintaining composure. This is a full-time position which requires days, nights, weekends and all holidays. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Applicants for the Sommelier position will meet the minimum requirements listed below.
- Represent Cattlemen’s Club core values of integrity, vigilance and excellence.
- 3-5 years Fine Dining / Casual Dining experience in high volume restaurant.
- Possess a CMS level three Advanced Sommelier Certificate.
- Purchase for and manage the established wine program.
- Knowledge of AAA Star Rating Criteria and/or The Michelin agency standards.
- Extensive knowledge of Beverages.

- Food Handlers Card.
- TABC Card.
- Great Communication Skills
- Business Analysis.
- Passion for Hospitality, Food and Beverage.
- College Degree preferred.
- CPR Certified.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs. Independently and safely
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
- Constant computer and/or POS usage.
- Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
