Be responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Expected to be attentive to guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed, at all times./pp/ph1bESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:/b/h1ulliCheck server’s and house person’s BEOs to ensure that all information is accurate./liliReview Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) at the beginning of each shift to ensure room is set as contracted./liliKnow the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be provided./liliBe in communication with the Banquet Captain/ Lead Server in regard to any special needs./liliSet tables, glassware, flatware and silver ware per dining rules and specification./liliGreet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage./liliKeep station neat and clean while servicing guest per established policies and procedures./liliMaintain a proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest’s needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses./liliUse proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment./liliAssist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables, stations, and equipment./liliFollow all guest check and money-handling procedures when serving a-la-carte and beverage orders./liliComplete assigned side work./li/ulp/ph1bDESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:/b/h1pbEducation: /bHigh school education or equivalent experience./ppbExperience: /bSix months hotel or convention center -banquet food/beverage services environment/ppbSkills and Abilities: /bAble to read, speak and understand English. Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs. Stand continuously for long periods of time.
