Custodian - Part-time

For over 60 years PSS has performed vital and important work -- through its ten senior centers, caregiver services and affiliated programs, the agency touches the lives of over 2,000 people a day. As the Driver/Custodian of one of the senior centers, you will be responsible for providing safe individual and/or group transportation for center members and be responsible for the general cleanliness of the facility. The Driver/Custodian role is vital in ensuring that transportation is provided to allow our members to remain mobile and engaged in their communities and, ensuring that the center is a physically welcoming and a safe place for all members and visitors./span/p pspan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt" /span/p pspan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt" /span/p pspan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif"span style="font-size: 15pt; font-weight: bold"RESPONSIBILITES:/spanbr/span/p ul lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Maintain the cleanliness of the center at all times including bathrooms, offices and all common areas. /spanbr/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Serve lunch to the members (if needed)/span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Sweep, mop, strip and wax he floors./span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Build, move and replace furniture as needed. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Paint center and perform minor repairs as needed./span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Clean large and small appliances and equipment. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Remove dust from ventilation ducts and change light bulbs./span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Clean and wash fans. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Remove garbage daily and wash all garbage cans/containers including individual waste baskets. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Clear entryway of snow or debris for sage access to center. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Restock and keep custodial supplies and storage area in order. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Maintain front desk and main entrance covered by assisting in bussing the center members in as a security check point. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Notify Director of supplies needed. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Locations changes may occur if coverage is needed at another OAC or the OAC is closed temporarily./span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Occasional weekends, holidays and evening hours may be required, this includes cooling center hours during the summer months./span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"One day of the week must come in at 9am to clean whole center. /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-weight: bold"QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:/spanbr/span/p ul lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"High School Diploma/span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Excellent Interpersonal and Organizational Skills /span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Experience with and knowledge of current cleaning methods/span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Experience working with Older Adults a plus/span/li lispan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15pt"Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) desirable/span/li /ul pspan style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
