p/pp/ppbiuPOSITION SUMMARY:/u/i/b/ppThe Switchboard Operator / Receptionist Performs all functions necessary at the Reception Desk / Switchboard./pp/ppbiuESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:/u/i/b/pulliSupports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers./liliAnswers and directs incoming phone calls in a prompt, friendly and outgoing manner./liliHandles customer and associate questions and requests./liliDistributes applications to prospective new associates./liliCoordinates and schedules appointments for Management./liliFiles, copies and performs other clerical assignments as needed./liliMaintains associate bulletin boards; insures they are current; posts schedules./liliRemains familiar with store layout./liliRemains knowledgeable of all product./liliRemains aware of advertised sales, special events and store layout./liliKeeps work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies./liliFollows all Company Policies and Procedures./liliALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED/li/ulp/ppbiuEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:/u/i/b/pulliMinimum Degree Required:  High School diploma or equivalent experience/li/ulp/ppbiuKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: /u/i/b/pulliAbility to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers/liliAbility to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates/liliAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers/liliAbility to operate computerized Point of Sale register system and computerized PBX system/li/ulp/ppbiuTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:/u/i/b/pulliN/A/li/ulp/ppbiuPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:/u/i/b/pulliConstantly remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods/liliConstantly communicate with others to exchange information/liliConstantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers/liliLight work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 50 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)/liliOccasionally work in noisy environments/li/ulp/ppbiuINDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT/u/i/b:/pullispanPerforms tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
