pDescription/ppAssist with supervising a safe and well-organized child care program by planning and participating in-group activities with children at a designated childcare site.nbsp;/ppbr//ppemustrongMorning and Afternoon shifts are available, but both are not required to hired for this position.nbsp;/strong/u/emnbsp;/pullistrongMorning shifts:/strong 6:45-9am and 7:30-9:15am (Monday - Friday)/lilistrongAfternoon Shifts:/strong 2:30-6pm, 3-6pm, and 3:30-6pm (Monday - Friday)/li/ulpstrongDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/pulliEstablish a positive relationship with the program participants./liliImplement weekly activities for a group of 10-15 children./liliLead games and activities provided through program curriculum./liliEnsure the safety and well being of all children./liliKnow where all group members are at all times./liliTake daily attendance and see that each child is signed in and out by a responsible party each day./liliActively engage children and participants in activities.nbsp;/liliPrepare and distribute USDA and HEPA approved snacks and/or meals to participants./liliPerform daily count of meals and snacks served./liliReport all injuries and incidences to the site coordinator and/or program director./liliAttend regularly scheduled staff meeting to help plan activities, and attend required in-person and online trainings./liliDisplay YMCA character values (Honesty, caring, respect, and responsibilities at all times.)/liliDevelop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors and volunteers./li/ulh3br//h3pbr//ppRequirements/ppnbsp;strongEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:/strong/pulliMust have an interest in and like children and exemplify and support the YMCA philosophy.nbsp;/liliMust stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)/liliMust complete all required Redwoods trainings within 30 days of hire and renew annually.nbsp;/liliMust be 18 years of age, have high school diploma or GED.nbsp;/liliJr. Program staff may be 16-17yrs of age./liliJob consists of working with school age children and requires the participation in activities with children.nbsp;/liliPosition may require work outside the regularly scheduled program hours.nbsp;/liliMust attend all scheduled YMCA trainings, have current CPR certification and uphold the YMCA employee appearance guidelines./li/ul
