This position is located innbsp;strongBellevue, Washington./strongspannbsp;/span/p pspannbsp;/span/p pspanstrongKey Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/strong/span/p ul lispanResponsible for sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording product test results./span/li lispanEnsure that daily records are kept and maintained./span/li lispanData Entry, tracking and interpretation./span/li lispanFollowing QC Hold Procedures for out of specification products./span/li lispanMust possess the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's)./span/li lispanWill assist in the discipline to maintain a 6-S rating of an "A"./span/li lispanBe flexible in working hours./span/li lispanEquipment calibration and troubleshooting./span/li lispanPerform other duties as assigned./span/li lispanParticipate in driving continuous improvement./span/li lispanReport daily with supervisors daily covering issues associated with production./span/li lispanMonitor all CCP records and frequencies./span/li lispanFollow-up customer complaints and correspond with production./span/li lispanManage product specifications./span/li lispanMaintain policy and implement policies and procedures including training relating to GMP's, Food Safety and regulatory compliance./span/li lispanExceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills./span/li lispanAbility to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment./span/li lispanMust be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency./span/li lispanDemonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance./span/li /ul pspanstrongQualifications:/strong/span/p ul lispanFour-year college degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field (Desired) or equivalent experience./span/li lispanKnowledge of Microbiological, Physical, Chemical and Organoleptic Testing./span/li lispanEnsure Safeway policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements are adhered to./span/li lispanEvaluate trends from test results and communicate these trends to employees and management./span/li lispanImplement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Safeway quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification./span/li lispanExcellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility./span/li lispanGood analytical and problem-solving skills./span/li lispanMaintain inventory on laboratory supplies./span/li lispanGood oral/written communication skills./span/li lispanAble to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision./span/li lispanProficient in window-based PC programs./span/li lispanLab Test Equipment/Maintenance./span/li lispanKnowledge of HACCP/Food Safety./span/li lispanMust follow current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Sanitation Practices, Food Safety and Occupational Safety./span/li lispanAbility to lift 50lbs./span/li lispanGood Time Management and customer service oriented./span/li /ul pnbsp;/p pspanPay Range: $24.62 - $32.82 per hour/span/p p style="margin-left:40px"strongStarting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement./strongspannbsp;Additional premiums for swing and grave shifts are available.
