Performs patient care responsibilities and provides clerical and administrative support in a clinical setting/span/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;" Serves as a float pool resource to various clinics within designated, local region.      br /Performs routine patient care responsibilities such as taking vital signs, venipuncture (blood draws), collect specimens, EKGs/ECGs, and POCTs.br /Collects patient history, performs medication reconciliation and enters information in the electronic medical record.br /Notes the primary complaint/reason for patient’s visit.br /Sets up instruments and equipment for medical provider (MD, DO, PA NP).br /Assist with procedures as needed.br /Administer medication under direction / order of a supervising medical provider (MD, DO, PA NP).br /Instructs patients on general care and medical procedures as appropriate to scope of practice for an MA.br /Maintains patient and service rooms in a neat and orderly condition.br /Schedules patient tests, procedures, and appointments.br /Conduct patient outreach phone calls and post visit follow-ups.br /Responds to routine patient phone calls and MyChart messages and route to RN, ACP or Physician as needed.br /Performs clerical/administrative responsibilities such as filing and/or scanning patient medical records, obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information./span/pp style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"Take inventory of clinic supplies and order supplies as needed. br /Supports the clinic / departments compliance with regulatory requirements.br /Performs functions of the Office Associate/ Patient Access Representative and is cross-trained to fill in this role as neededbr /Conduct Performance Improvement activities that support the clinic / departments goals for quality, patient experience, patient safety and/or efficiency.br /Sorts and distributes clinic mail and medical records to the appropriate clinic personnel.br /Flexible, dependable, hardworking, willing to work in a float pool position and be adaptable.br /Other duties as assigned./span/p Qualifications: p style="margin: 0px;"span style="text-decoration: underline;"emstrongspan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"Required Education and Experience /span/strong/em/spanbr /span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"High school diploma or equivalent required./spanbr /span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"Current/valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required if applicable. /span/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"span style="text-decoration: underline;"emstrongspan style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"Required Licensure and Certifications/span/strong/em/spanbr /span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Medication Aide certification by state agency required if applicable. /spanbr /span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;" Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required.
