h2Overview/h2 pThe Wellness Coach specializes in Exercise Groups and Wellness Programming and is the liaison between Wellness, Rehabilitation Services, and Nursing.  /p h2Responsibilities/h2 pManages and maintains residents’ wellness/restorative nursing programs and reports any changes to the treatment plan.  Conducts exercise groups that meet the MDS criteria for restorative nursing and documents the care provided.  Maintains specialized equipment, such as alarms, cushions, and wheelchairs. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team by planning and anticipating long term and/or short term needs regarding residents’ admission and discharge./p h2Qualifications/h2 pQualifications Required/p ul liSuccessful completion of a Wellness Training and Restorative Nursing Class./li /ul pQualifications Preferred/p ul liCertified Nursing Assistant in good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity/li liHospital or nursing home experience/li liBLS Certification./li liIf the person holding this position leads the program they must meet qualifications as required by federal regulations §483.15(f)(2) The activities program must be directed by a qualified professional who-- ul liIs a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who-- /li liIs licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; and /li liIs eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; or /li liHas 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or /li liIs a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or /li liHas completed a training course approved by the State./li /ul/li /ul p /p pEEO/AA/Vet Friendly/p h2Salary Range/h2$18.72 - $21.24 h2Benefits Statement/h2 pA robust benefits package is available to eligible associates, designed to meet the needs of every stage of life, including paid time off (PTO), retirement, medical, dental, vision, education assistance, and a variety of additional voluntary benefits.  For more information visit our website at www.benedictineliving.org./p
