UCP Charter Schools are a network of 8 PreK-12th grade schools for students with and without disabilities in Central Florida./p pstrongJob Summary: /strong/p pspan style="background-color:#ffffff;"span style="color:#2d2d2d;"The On Call Classroom Teacher Substitute teaches and supervises students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class due to attending professional learning./span/span/p pstrongJob Responsibilities:/strong/p ol liPerform classroom teacher duties in the absence of the teacher who is attending professional development./li liFollow lesson plan provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students./li liManage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment./li liAdapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each student./li liSupervise students in and out of the classroom including in the halls, on the playground, cafeteria and car line./li liImplement individual behavior plans as needed./li liEnsure and provide basic care giving duties (utilizing universal health and safety precautions) for children, including, but not limited to feeding children, and cleaning children’s hands, faces, etc./li liAssist in communication with therapists and members of the multi-disciplinary team./li liMaintain positive staff and parent interactions./li liEnsure compliance with requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies./li liPerform other duties as assigned./li /ol pstrongWhat UCP Offers/strong/p pUCPs instructional approach is designed to reach every learner through customized instruction, technology integration, art integration, and project-based learning.
