Overall accountabilities are defined in this section./i/span/span/pp/ppspanspanThe Material Handler will u/spanspanse material handling equipment and the warehouse management system to build pallets of product for shipment, receive product into the warehouse, put away product in the fill locations and replenish product into slots./span/span/ph2br /bCore Responsibilities/b/h2ullipspanSafely and efficiently utilize warehouse material handling equipment./span/p/lilipspanUtilize RF units and pick tickets, and receiving documentation./span/p/lilipspanBuild stable, well-built and accurate pallet loads for shipment./span/p/lilipspanEnsure item pick accuracy and safety of product to prevent damage./span/p/lilipspanUnderstand pallet layers, heights, and counting methods used when working with pallets of product./span/p/lilipspanRead and understand product descriptions, packaging and pick ticket messages./span/p/lilipspanConsistently meet established company production and service level standards./span/p/lilipspanUtilize good housekeeping processes./span/p/lilipspanUtilize effective food safety measures./span/p/lilipspanUtilize warehouse processes to minimize damage and other areas of waste./span/p/lilipspanInform supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or product description./span/p/lilipspanWrap the pallet by circling load with roll of plastic wrap until secure./span/p/lilipspanHousekeeping during and at the end of shifts./span/p/li/ulpspaniThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
