p style="text-align: center;"Job Duties/p p style="text-align: left;"Including, but not limited to:br /• Unloading pallets, boxes, and bundlesbr /• Material handling / sorting – pushing, pulling, picking, lifting, carrying, and filling up hoppers, boxes, and conveyor beltsbr /• Unpacking boxes using box cutters, separating plastics, zip ties, blister packs, and other packaging materialsbr /• Disassembling small equipment, cutting wires, torqueing pipefittings, removing bolts, automobile parts, and appliance parts.br /• Work with recycling equipment for processing metal product e.g. metal shears, band saw and wire strippersbr /• Direct traffic of yard vehicles traveling through yardbr /• Light facility maintenance – painting, scraping, moving furniture and equipmentbr /• Maintenance – selecting and using tools properly, pulling and installing parts for machinery, working with other employees to assist machinery repairbr /• Housekeeping – sweeping, cleaning, shoveling, and debris collectionbr /• Moderate and Periodic landscaping workbr /• Clean up work area at the end of shiftbr /• Keep work areas neat and orderlybr /• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functionsbr /• Organizing materials to have more effective use of spacebr /• Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate mannerbr /• Inspection to ensure cleanup is completedbr /• Effective housekeeping in workplace area is an ongoing operation for safety and better hygienic conditions for all team members./p p style="text-align: center;"Qualifications/p p style="text-align: left;"Employees in this position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are "grandfathered" into their positions.br /• Must pass a medical physical and drug testbr /• Must pass a background checkbr /• Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptablebr /• Bi-lingual (English Spanish) language skills a plusbr /• Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demandsbr /• Willingness to learn how to: sort metal, identify colors, shapes, and weights; properly maintain equipment; properly utilize PPE/p p style="text-align: center;"Job Expectations/p p style="text-align: left;"Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, SA Recycling safety, health, environmental rules, regulations, policies, procedures./p p style="text-align: center;"Physical Requirements/p p style="text-align: left;"• Work Environment: Scrap metal yard, outdoorbr /• Equipment Tools: Yard equipment, hand tools, and PPE.br /• Physical Demand Level: Moderate to heavybr /• Work Capacity: Laborer Work Capacitybr /• Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, smell, touch and tastebr /• Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, gripping/p p style="text-align: left;"Pay Range 16-19$ per hour/p
