Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance as well as emergency, corrective, and routine repairs on electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and HVAC systems.nbsp;/p piFull-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.nbsp;Information regarding hours per week needed for benefit eligibility purposes can be found /ia href="https://employeeconnection.net/CareerSiteMedia/2024_2025_Hourly_BAAG_Macys_Bloomingdales.pdf" target="_blank"iuhere/u/i/ai./i/p pstronguWhat We Can Offer You/u/strong/p ul liMaintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems, along with associated equipment, to maximize efficiency./li liPerform emergency, corrective, and routine repairs on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems, ensuring optimal functionality./li liConduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems according to the established schedule./li liKeep accurate records of all inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as local fire marshal requirements./li liMaintain EPA Universal Certification and stay updated on all relevant legislation, including EPA regulations and South Coast Air Quality District regulations related to “CFC” and refrigerant handling laws./li liFollow shortage control programs and procedures./li liDemonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality./li liIn addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned./li liFoster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities./li /ul pstronguSkills You Will Need/u/strong/p pstrongTechnical Expertise/strong: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems./p pstrongRegulatory Compliance/strong: Familiarity with state and federal regulations, local fire marshal requirements, and EPA/South Coast Air Quality District regulations regarding refrigerant handling./p pstrongEPA Certification amp; Licensing/strong: Must have an EPA Universal Certification and a license (preferred) with in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems./p pstrongSafety Awareness/strong: Understanding of personnel safety procedures and safety engineering codes to maintain a secure work environment./p pstrongProblem-Solving amp; Adaptability/strong: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently while adjusting to changing priorities./p pstrongCommunication amp; Collaboration/strong: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with the Chief Engineer, Store Management, and team members./p pstrongRecord-Keeping amp; Documentation/strong: Ability to maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs for compliance and operational tracking./p pstrongDependability amp; Initiative/strong: A self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and accountability in all responsibilities./p pstronguWho You Are/u/strong/p ul liThis position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands.nbsp;/li liInvolves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders/li liMay involve reaching above eye level/li liRequires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment/li liAble to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations, based on department and company needs/li liAble to travel between store and building locations/li /ul pstronguWhat We Can Offer You/u/strong/p pJoin a team where work is as rewarding as it is fun!
