Fall River offers an appealing blend of coastal New England charm and everyday convenience: easy access to nearby Providence and Boston, vibrant local dining, and parks and walking paths along the water, all while maintaining an affordable, community-oriented lifestyle.\nThe role is within a well-established acute care hospital setting that serves as a key healthcare resource for the Greater Fall River region. The imaging department features modern digital X-ray equipment, PACS integration, and a team-based approach where technologists, radiologists, nurses, and support staff collaborate closely to provide efficient, high-quality diagnostic services. You will be part of a professional environment that values safety, clear communication, and patient-centered care.\nAs an X-ray Technologist, you will perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic examinations for a broad range of patients, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and surgical cases. A typical day may include:\nPerforming general radiography exams such as chest, extremity, spine, and abdominal imaging. Providing portable X-rays at the bedside for patients in critical care, medical-surgical units, and other inpatient areas. Supporting the emergency department with timely imaging for trauma and acute presentations. Assisting in the operating room with intraoperative imaging as needed, following sterile technique and surgical protocols. Verifying orders, reviewing patient histories, and ensuring appropriate exam selection in the EMR. Positioning patients accurately, applying immobilization when required, and adhering strictly to radiation safety and dose reduction practices. Collaborating with radiologists regarding image quality, additional views, and urgent findings. Maintaining equipment cleanliness, performing basic quality checks, and reporting service needs promptly. Documenting exams and patient interactions clearly and accurately.\nThe department is designed to support efficiency and safety, with exam rooms organized to minimize patient wait times and streamline workflow. Patient volumes are steady and varied, offering exposure to a wide range of clinical scenarios and the chance to build strong, well-rounded imaging skills. Typical shifts may include day, evening, or night hours with weekend and holiday rotations depending on departmental scheduling needs, and schedules are planned to ensure consistent coverage while supporting work-life balance.\n
