Requirements:
\n- \n
- Active Radiologic Technologist license/credentials required. \n
- ARRT (R) certification required. \n
- BLS certification required. \n
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience required. \n
- Travel experience not required (depends on training). \n
- Teaching hospital experience preferred. \n
- Trauma Level I/II experience preferred. \n
- Must have experience with:\n
- \n
- Emergency Department imaging \n
- ICU and bedside/portable procedures \n
- Pediatric and adult imaging \n
- OR/C-Arm procedures \n
- Fluoroscopy studies \n
- Trauma imaging \n
\n - Experience with PACS and radiation safety practices preferred. \n
Description:
\n This X-Ray Technologist position is with IU Health at a short-term acute care facility. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in multiple settings including outpatient, emergency department, ICU, NICU, operating room, and bedside services.
Responsibilities include performing routine X-rays, portable exams, trauma imaging, fluoroscopy procedures, contrast studies, orthopedic imaging, chest and abdominal studies, and assisting with surgical imaging procedures. The technologist will ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality image acquisition.
\nThe outpatient imaging center handles walk-in patients and specialized procedures including modified barium swallow studies and urodynamics. Daily workload is approximately 30–75 patients per technologist, working alongside another technologist.
