Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

Greer Pediatric Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our dedicated clinical team. This role is ideal for a seasoned provider who delivers exceptional pediatric care and has the leadership ability to serve as Clinical Lead in the absence of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The ideal candidate will also serve as a mentor to Pediatric Healthcare Providers (PHPs) who are recent graduates or have limited clinical experience, helping them transition into successful and confident independent practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

·         Provide comprehensive, evidence-based medical care to pediatric patients from birth through adolescence.

·         Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, conduct physical exams, and perform routine screenings.

·         Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with regulatory and clinical guidelines.

·         Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.

Clinical Leadership (as needed):

·         Serve as the acting Clinical Lead during times when the CMO is out of the building (intermittently).

·         Oversee clinical operations to ensure smooth and safe delivery of care.

·         Address urgent clinical concerns and support decision-making across the care team.

·         Act as a liaison between clinical and administrative staff.

Mentorship & Team Development:

·         Serve as a mentor to newly graduated or less experienced Pediatric Healthcare Providers.

·         Provide guidance, feedback, and support on clinical decision-making, workflow, and patient communication.

·         Help orient new providers to practice protocols, EHR systems, and pediatric clinical standards.

·         Promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Quality & Compliance:

·         Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation and coding practices.

·         Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote adherence to best practices.

·         Uphold HIPAA standards and all clinical regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

·         Licensed Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina (APRN).

·         Board Certified through PNCB or ANCC.

·         Minimum of 7 years of independent pediatric primary care experience.

·         Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

·         Strong interpersonal, clinical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Attributes:

·         Experience in high-volume outpatient pediatric settings.

·         Familiarity with Nextgen or comparable pediatric EHR systems.

·         Passion for teaching, coaching, and clinical excellence.

Schedule & Reporting:

·         Full-time, Monday–Friday.

·         Reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

·         Assumes Clinical Lead duties during the CMO’s absence (typically frequent).
